PURCHASE POLICIES

- All cavy will stay with us until they are a minimum of 6 weeks old; some may need to stay longer

- Buyer(s) must be 18 years or older

- Our available pigs are first come, first serve. To hold an animal, you must put down a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. Deposits are 50% of the total and will be subtracted from the total price. If local pickup, the remainder is to be paid before or at pickup. If using transport, the remainder must be paid at least 3 days before transport is scheduled to depart. If the remainder is not paid by then, the deposit is forfeited, and the animal(s) will be available once more. Any money paid will only be refundable if the animal passes while in our care

- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale at anytime

- If false information or intent of the animal(s) is lied about, you will lose future opportunities to adopt from us

-We will hold an animal for 3 weeks after the date on which it is reserved with a deposit; after that, we charge a $10 weekly board

-We accept payment via PayPal, Venmo, or Cashapp

PRICES

- Price is subject to change and will vary based on breed, gender, coloration/patterning, and availability

TRANSPORT

- We will work with reputable transport. We are more than happy to help an adopter find and arrange transport, but ultimately, it is the buyer’s responsibility to message and talk with transport for pickup of their animal

- We will travel to meet with transport up to three hours away for an additional $60 fee ($20 per hour). This fee is only to cover our gas

HEALTH AGREEMENT

- Our animals are healthy at the time of sale. We will not knowingly send an animal home or on transport if there are health concerns

- Once the animal is out of our hands, we will not be held responsible for any future expenses or if they pass in your care. Any mishandling, illness, or injury while in transport or by the new owner(s) is not our responsibility

RETURNING AN ANIMAL

- We cannot guarantee an animal’s temperament or ability to bond with any other animals you may have. If, for any reason, an adopter can no longer keep their animal, please reach out to us first. We will take back any animal produced here at The Cavy Café, no questions asked. There will be no refund

PET ONLY ANIMALS

- If an animal is sold as a pet only, this will be communicated before reserving. Pet only means the animal will not be bred after leaving our care. It is our discretion which animal will be determined fit to breed or to be bred again

- ALL rescue animals are strictly pet only.

RESCUES AND SURRENDERS

- We accept surrenders. We specifically work with Guinea pigs, but under certain circumstances, we may take other small animals.

- ALL surrenders and rescues will be rehomed as PET ONLY. These animals are NOT fit to breed

-We only accept rescue and surrenders from OKC and surrounding areas, with the exception of Tulsa, OK, or if you travel to us.
